Education lies at the heart of CoSTO’s mission to build resilient and empowered communities across Tanzania. We believe that every child deserves the chance to learn, dream, and achieve their fullest potential, regardless of gender, geography, or social background.

 

Our Education Program is designed to create lasting impact by enhancing access to inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education from primary to secondary levels. CoSTO works closely with schools, local governments, parents, and community stakeholders
to address the root causes of poor learning outcomes. We strengthen the capacity of teachers through continuous professional development, introduce innovative and learner-centered teaching approaches, and support schools with essential learning materials and infrastructure improvements.

Our interventions go beyond classrooms. We promote a culture of reading, digital literacy, and lifelong learning, ensuring that students are equipped with both academic knowledge and practical skills needed in a rapidly changing world. Special emphasis is placed on
empowering girls and children with disabilities, creating safe learning spaces, and eliminating barriers that hinder their educational progress.

Through school mentorship programs, community awareness campaigns, and partnerships with education networks, CoSTO is shaping a new generation of Tanzanian learners — critical thinkers, problem solvers, and responsible citizens capable of driving sustainable
development in their communities.
